Leanne Armitage
Leanne Armitage Ultimate mission in life is to inspire people to be the best version of themselves. She does this through sharing her story of the obstacles she has overcome in order to walk in her purpose.
In addition to this, she has a passion for healthcare and currently works as a junior doctor with interests in Anaesthetics. In 2018 she co-founded a charity - The Armitage Foundation -which exists to increase diversity across UK medical schools. As a result of the work she has been doing through The Armitage Foundation, she was awarded the 2018 UK Queen’s Young Leaders award by Her Majesty the Queen at Buckingham Palace.
Leanne has also featured in the 2021 edition of the Future Leader’s Magazine as number 4 out of 150 of the UK’s most outstanding African-Caribbean students and new graduates.

Rene
Germain
Rene Germain is a Digital product manager, writer, and speaker. After graduating from Loughborough University in 2016, she has since gone on to work at leading financial services and technology organisations in a variety of roles.
In 2020, she co-created the viral hashtag #blackintheoffice to enable Black British employees to anonymously share their experiences of racism and discrimination in UK workplaces, prompting apologies from well-known organizations and contributions from Black employees around the world.
In May 2022, Coronet published her debut book, Black and Great: The Essential Workplace toolkit, billed as one of the first career guides to focus on the Black workplace experience, quickly becoming an Amazon best seller in the E-Business category.

Tony Fairweather
Tony Fairweather was born in Clapham South, the son of Jamaican parents. He opened one of the first Black bookshops with an art gallery in the UK, before going on to work for the Voice newspaper, where he managed the Voice book club which become the biggest black book club in the UK.
In 1989, Tony founded ‘The Write Thing’, an events company established to promote Black authors, which led to him working with a veritable who’s who of the Black literary world, including Archbishop Desmond TuTu, Bernardine Evaristo, Nina Simone, Dr Maya Angelou, Alice Walker, Dr Toni Morrison, Terry McMillan, Jamaican Prime Minister Michael N Manley, and many more. Tony is also the founder and curator of the Windrush Collection, a touring exhibition of artefacts associated with the Windrush generation.
